Overview
The SE1900 was Brother’s best-known 5 × 7 sewing and embroidery combo before the SE2000. Brother’s page lists 138 embroidery designs, 240 built-in stitches, 11 font styles, a 5 × 7 field and USB import.
Brother now lists it as discontinued, and its product data has several internal conflicts (136 vs 138 designs, 11 vs 5 or 6 fonts, and whether it has an automatic thread cutter). The operation manual describes an end-of-color trim function.
If you are comparing a used SE1900 with a new SE2000, the field size is the same. The SE2000 adds wireless transfer, Artspira, jump stitch trimming and more built-in designs.
Lineup note: Discontinued and succeeded by the SE2000.

The 5 × 7 in label is rounded. The real limit is 130 × 180 mm. Measure the stitched design, not the fabric or the outside of the hoop, and remember a design can sometimes fit after a 90° rotation. Use the hoop fit checker with this machine preselected.
